Fairy Tale Retellings Volume I: Books 1 & 2 by Scarlett St. Clair (Hardback)

A beautiful hardcover edition collecting Books 1 and 2 of Scarlett St. Clair’s romantasy novella series, from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Hades x Persephone Saga and King of Battle and Blood. Set in the grisly world of the Grimm fairy tales, this edition features foiled sprayed edges and exclusive new interior art for both novellas.

Once upon a time, there were seven brothers…

In Mountains Made of Glass, Gesela’s home village of Elk has been cursed for as long as she can remember — not a single curse, but one after another, each to be broken by a different villager. When Gesela’s turn comes, she kills a toad who turns out to be an Elven prince, and as punishment his brothers banish her to live with their seventh brother, the one they call the beast. Rather than hold her captive, though, the beast offers her a deal: guess his true name within seven days and go free. Gesela agrees — but there’s a hidden catch.

In Apples Dipped in Gold, orphaned Samara has long been left in the care of her horrible brothers. When a handsome prince offers for her hand, she hopes her new kingdom will be her salvation — only for her carriage to be ambushed by Lore, the wicked Prince of Nightshade. Samara assumes he means to punish her, but the truth is stranger: the Elven prince has pined after her for seven long years, and she may be the one poison his unmatched power can’t cure.
