2. Products and Availability

1. All products displayed on the website are offered subject to availability.
2. While we make every effort to ensure product information is accurate, slight variations in description, appearance, or packaging may occur.
3. If an ordered item becomes unavailable after payment, we will contact you promptly to offer an alternative or issue a full refund.
4. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend any product without prior notice.

3. Pricing and Payment

1. All prices shown on our website are in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.
2. Prices are correct at the time of publication but may change without notice.
3. Full payment is required at the time of ordering.
4. All payments are processed securely via WooPayments, powered by Stripe.
5. We do not store, process, or have access to your payment card details.
6. By submitting an order, you confirm that you are authorised to use the chosen payment method.

4. Delivery

1. Orders are typically dispatched within 1–2 working days of payment confirmation.
2. The standard UK mainland delivery charge is applied after adding items into the basket.
3. Deliveries are made to the address provided at checkout. Please ensure your details are accurate, as we cannot be held responsible for delays or failed deliveries resulting from incorrect information.
4. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.
5. We are not liable for delays caused by postal or courier services, weather, or circumstances beyond our control.

5. Receipt of Goods and Damages

1. You must inspect your order upon delivery and report any issues within 48 hours of receipt.
2. Claims for missing, incorrect, or damaged items must be made in writing via email to james@libraryofjames.com within this period.
3. Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and supporting photographs if applicable.
4. Claims made after 48 hours may not be accepted, except where required by law.

6. Returns

Returns are accepted only in cases where:

1. The item arrives damaged:
   1. The customer must report any damages within 48 hours of delivery (2 days).

3. We cannot provide refunds for general dissatisfaction unrelated to product damage.

Return Process:

1. To initiate a return, contact james@libraryofjames.com with your order details and clear images of the damaged item.
2. We may request that the item be returned in its original packaging for inspection.
3. It is the responsibility of the customer to cover the cost of the return postage.
4. Customers must use our chosen delivery courier, which is Royal Mail.
5. Items must be returned via the Royal Mail Tracked services.
6. Upon receipt and verification, a replacement or refund will be issued which includes the return postage charge.
7. Refunds for the original order value of the goods only will be processed to the original payment method within 5–7 working days of approval.
8. The original postage charge (if applicable) paid order cannot be refunded.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

7. Cancellations

1. You may cancel your order before it has been dispatched by contacting james@libraryofjames.com.
2. Once your order has been dispatched, cancellation requests cannot be accepted.
3. If an order is cancelled before dispatch, a full refund will be issued to your original payment method.

8. Liability

1. Library of James Limited will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses resulting from the use or inability to use our products or website.
2. Our total liability in respect of any order shall not exceed the total price paid for the goods.
3. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any matter that cannot be excluded under UK law.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

1. Your privacy is important to us. All personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website.
2. Information collected during the order process is used solely for order fulfilment, delivery, and customer service.
3. We will not share your data with third parties except where necessary to process your order (e.g. delivery partners or payment providers).

10. Governing Law

1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
2. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
